My role is Practice Manager/Executive Assistant to Sanjay and his practice, and I joined the team in November 2019.
I’ve worked at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse (and have known Sanjay) for the past five years. I started as a Clinic Receptionist, and then became Team Leader of the Clinics team, and more recently was working as Process Optimisation and Patient Services Coordinator for Clinics.
My role is to make our patients’ journeys as streamlined and smooth as possible. I appreciate how daunting and confusing hospitals can be, so I want to be sure that what we do assists our patients as much as we possibly can.
Being able to use my knowledge to help our patients, and their families, navigate their care. Even though I’m not a doctor or a nurse, it’s still deeply rewarding knowing that the work I do helps our patients during a difficult time.
On the really busy days – being able to have a laugh with my colleagues. If all else fails… have another coffee.
Seeing how resilient people can be in the face of immense challenges. Working in this area has been an incredibly humbling experience.
For the most part I try to spend as much time as possible with my family, fiancé and friends. I love outdoor activities, have just returned to playing netball, and I love to paint.
